Behaviour management

At Nobby State School, we focus strongly on positive behaviour support. Behaviour management at Nobby State School is based on the Responsible Behaviour Plan for Students (PDF 423KB).

Students are required to follow an agreed set of expectations, which is set out on the 'Buzz Chart' (PDF 127KB).

This expectations are aligned with a ladder system used within the classrooms, that tracks each student's ability to follow expectations. Positive behaviour choices are rewarded through classroom reward systems.

All instances of expectations not met are recorded, allowing staff to use all daily behaviour information to give an accurate assessment of behaviour on the 2 official report cards, given out at the end of each semester.

Positive behaviour is also rewarded at the end of each school term, when students displaying behaviour at an A or B level are invited to participate in the end of term rewards days.
