Nobby State School is committed to providing a high quality education where all students are given every opportunity to learn and grow in a caring and supportive environment.
From 2012, we will implement the Australian Curriculum in English, mathematics and science. In 2013, history will be added to this list.
We also continue to deliver curriculum in the areas of The Arts, including dance, drama, music and visual arts, HPE, including physical, social and personal content, Studies of Society and the Environment (SOSE), Technology, Languages other than English (LOTE- French) and Information Communication Technology (ICTs), which are embedded in all key learning areas.
Our school currently has two multi-age classrooms; Prep-2 and 3-7. This enables teachers to group students according to their ability, and therefore not be limited to grouping students according to their age or year level. Teachers have the ability to do this for all key learning areas, meaning students are always learning at their academic level.
We are also fortunate enough to have specialist teachers who visit weekly to provide specialist teaching in the areas of HPE (physical component) and music to all students, and French to students in years 5-7.
